Welcome to Sakina Hijab, a special project born from my journey as an international student in Melbourne, Australia, during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic. My name is Cicilia, and Sakina Hijab is not just a business to me—it is a personal, spiritual journey. The name "Sakina" means tranquility and peace, and it reflects the essence of what I hope to share with each woman who walks this path of modesty: a deep sense of inner peace found in pleasing Allah (SWT).
In a world that often emphasizes external beauty, I believe that true peace and beauty come from within—when we honor our faith, embrace modesty, and align our actions with the will of Allah. It was with this belief in mind that I started this journey, offering carefully curated hijabs that allow women to maintain their haya (modesty) while expressing their beauty in a way that pleases Allah.
What began with a small collection of hijabs I had brought home as gifts for my travels has since grown into more than just a business. It has become a space for connection—a sisterhood. Through Sakina Hijab, I’ve been blessed to meet many beautiful sisters who share the same values of faith and modesty. These bonds have reminded me of the power of ukhuwah (sisterhood), and how, even in moments of struggle, we are never alone. Allah (SWT) is always with us, guiding us, and providing us with strength in every step of the journey.
As I officially registered the business, built a website, and joined the local community, I transformed my living room into a small warehouse, striving to create a brand that reflects the values of quality, ethics, and modesty. Sakina Hijab is about more than just offering stylish hijabs—it's about helping women feel empowered in their modest dress, reminding them that true beauty is in their faith, their character, and their connection with Allah.
Through Sakina Hijab, I hope to inspire women to find tranquility in pleasing Allah by covering their beauty with modest clothing. It is through this act of modesty that we find peace, tranquility, and a deep sense of connection to our faith. Our hijabs are designed not only to reflect our commitment to Allah but also to help you embrace your true beauty, wrapped in the serenity that comes from following His guidance.
